Title: Embracing Entrepreneurship After 50: Demystifying Tech

Hello, aspiring entrepreneurs!

Are you dreaming of starting your own business but feel intimidated by the daunting world of technology? Fear not. In this era of digital innovation, age is just a number, and the right tools can make tech your ally, not your adversary. I’m here to share my personal journey and introduce you to a game-changer in the world of web development: Wix.

My Tech Journey: Overcoming the Fear

As a seasoned entrepreneur, I’ve spent a staggering amount over $100,000 on website development throughout my career. Yes, you read that right! I’ve had many WordPress websites and the steep learning curve and expensive cybersecurity plug-ins that comes with them. The digital landscape used to be a complex maze, often requiring hefty investments and technical expertise. However, the evolution of web-building platforms has revolutionized this process, making it accessible to everyone – especially for us vibrant women over 50 who are brimming with ideas and experience but want to cut the learning curve time (and the budget) in half or less.

A Revelation in Web Building

Wix emerged as a revelation to me, and here’s why it can be a digital companion for you to consider too:

    1. User-Friendly Interface: Wix is designed for absolute beginners. Its drag-and-drop interface means you don’t need to know a single line of coding. If you can use a word processor, you can build a Wix website!

    1. Customizable Templates: Feeling creative? Wix offers a plethora of templates tailored to various industries. Whether you’re launching a boutique, starting a consultancy, or opening a bakery, there’s a design waiting for you.

    1. Affordable Pricing: Gone are the days of draining your savings on a website. Wix offers various pricing plans, including a free option, making it a budget-friendly choice for budding entrepreneurs.

    1. Robust Backend Features: Wix isn’t just about pretty fronts. It provides a strong backend system, allowing you to manage your business effectively. From e-commerce capabilities to appointment scheduling, Wix has got you covered.

    1. SEO and Marketing Tools: Wix understands the importance of being seen. It offers built-in SEO and marketing tools to help your website rank better and reach your target audience.

Starting Your Wix (or other easy platform) Journey

Creating a website with Wix is like baking a cake with a pre-made mix – simpler and delightful. Here’s how you can start:

    1. Sign Up: Visit Wix.com and sign up. It’s straightforward and free to start.

    1. Choose a Template: Explore the templates and pick one that resonates with your business vision.

    1. Customize Your Site: Add your text, images, and tweak the design to suit your brand. It’s all about dragging and dropping elements.

    1. Go Live: Once you’re happy with your site, hit publish. Yes, it’s that simple!

Embrace the Digital Age, Fearlessly

Ladies, it’s never too late to chase your entrepreneurial dreams. The digital world is no longer a barrier but a bridge to achieving our goals. With platforms like Wix, Squarespace and the like, the power to create and thrive in the online space is at our fingertips. For this website, I am a publisher and course creator and blogger, and for affiliate marketing, I have found WP is superior, but that rationale is fodder for another post. so Wix was not the best choice.  I am typing this post on WordPress.  But other more static sites I run, such as CorelifeCoachInstitute.com are built quickly and easily on Wix. And that was the OLD Wix, the new AI driven platform is even better, IMO.

Remember, our wisdom, experience, and perspectives are invaluable assets in the business world. So let’s break the age stereotypes and show the world the powerhouse entrepreneurs that we are.

Ready to start your entrepreneurial journey? Dive in, the digital waters are just fine!

This blog post aims to empower women over 50, encouraging them to embrace entrepreneurship and technology with confidence and excitement. By sharing my personal experiences and highlighting the ease and efficiency of Wix, the post demystifies the tech aspect of starting a business and inspires action. Right now, this website is on WP.  We are in the process of switching back to WIX and we can’t wait! You’ll love it too.  This is just trusted advice about a product I love.  No affiliates or commissions. Much love to my COREPRENEURs.

To Your Success, Anne

A Life Well Lived: Overcoming Challenges and Avoiding Burnout

With a life well lived, your ability to share your voice with the world exponentially increases. You can also grow an active work and home community, build a business and be happier and more fulfilled doing so. That’s why I chose to create the tools and method I had longed for. The statistics are staggering about burnout, especially for women as we age. I’ve experienced it, and then I created the system that eliminates it.

What can you do to avoid burnout and lead from your C.O.R.E™?
First, let’s understand the C-O-R-E principles.
C-O-R-E® is our main acronym. It stands for being: Centered. Open. Resilient. Energized.®

You’re not alone.

If you are ever feeling exhausted, overwhelmed, overworked, chaotic or potentially even like a fraud. You put on the good strong face at work, but inside your crumbling. You started off so strong in your career, or more than likely, your most recent role, but now feel like you are losing control, your out-of-balance is a train wreck waiting to happen.

Here’s how stop the madness and overcome:

In today’s fast-paced world, we often find ourselves racing against time, juggling responsibilities, and striving to meet constantly shifting expectations. This relentless pace can lead to burnout – a state of chronic physical and emotional exhaustion. But living a fulfilled life doesn’t have to mean burning out. A life well-lived is one where we successfully navigate life’s challenges without losing ourselves in the process.

A well-lived life is not one devoid of difficulties but one where we learn to overcome them. It’s about resilience, adaptability, and the strength to rise every time we fall. It’s about recognizing that challenges are part of the journey, shaping us into stronger and wiser individuals.

Overcoming life’s challenges involves a mindset shift. It’s about seeing challenges as opportunities for growth rather than obstacles blocking our path. It’s about developing coping mechanisms and cultivating resilience. It’s about understanding that it’s okay to seek help when things get tough and that taking care of our mental health is not a sign of weakness but of strength.

Avoiding burnout, on the other hand, requires balance. It’s about understanding that while our work and responsibilities are important, they don’t define us entirely. It’s about learning to set boundaries, take breaks, and prioritize self-care. It’s about acknowledging the signs of burnout and taking proactive steps to prevent it.

So, how can we incorporate these principles into our lives to live more fully and avoid burnout?

Embrace Self-Care and Mindfulness

Self-care is often the first victim of a way-too-busy schedule. But taking time for yourself isn’t selfish or indulgent—it’s essential. Regularly schedule time to do things that replenish your energy and make you happy. It could be reading a book, going for a walk, practicing yoga, or simply sitting quietly with a cup of tea.

Practicing mindfulness can also help you avoid burnout. Mindfulness is about being present in the moment, focusing on the here and now rather than dwelling on the past or worrying about the future. It helps reduce stress, improve focus, and promote mental well-being.

Cultivate a Positive Mindset

A positive mindset can do wonders for your mental health. It’s not about denying the existence of problems, but about facing them with optimism and determination. Remember, every challenge presents an opportunity to learn and grow.

Seek Support

No one is an island. We all need support from time to time. Whether it’s from family, friends, a mentor, or a professional counselor, don’t hesitate to reach out when you need help. We all need a sounding board, a shoulder to lean on, or a fresh perspective to help us navigate life’s challenges.

Living a life well-lived—burnout-free and overcoming life’s challenges—may seem daunting, but with the right mindset, tools, and support, it’s entirely achievable. Remember, the ultimate goal is not to live a life free of difficulties but to learn, grow, and thrive despite them.
